What we do

Architectural services are our core activity and we are passionate about good design that brings added value for our clients and end users. Our portfolio embraces all aspects of residential, education, commercial, workplace, health and hospitality and leisure developments across both public and private sectors. Our success is built on the depth of our experience, spanning over 30 years, and our focus on coordination and quality, and the ability to apply in-house interdisciplinary resources to successfully deliver projects. Every project we work on is underpinned by a clear design philosophy that leads to a distinctive, high quality architectural response.

Urban Design & Masterplanning

The quality of the environment we live, work, play and heal within is determined by consideration beyond site boundaries, taking account of broader placemaking assets including living communities, connectivity, landscape and commercial opportunity. For project in urban, suburban and rural areas, we create urban design and placemaking frameworks and masterplans that demonstrate how places or sites can connect strategically with their surrounding context creating enhanced, transformative and multi-generational environments for all.

Our specialist urban design and masterplanning consultants work alongside our architects and landscape architects on both urban design and architectural projects. Our services include feasibility studies, framework plans, masterplans for residential, mixed use, education sectors. We also prepare visitor experience masterplans, detailed residential design codes and urban design guidance.

Landscape Architecture

As place making designers, we understand internal and external environments need to work together to bring the best of place for users but also for achieving environmental sustainability for generations to come. We create imaginative, visually rich and enduring places where people want to live, work, play and heal. We bring strategic thinking and creativity to design at all scales, from masterplans to local community spaces and streets. We have a collaborative approach to design, listening and engaging to understand and unlock the full potential of each site to create truly distinctive places.

Conservation Architecture

As historical building specialists we have extensive knowledge and experience of projects involving our built heritage and building conservation across a broad range of building typologies. As Grade 1 conservation architects we have the expertise to enable our clients to realise the most challenging conservation projects. We are guided by the International Conventions and Charters governing Conservation Architecture and follow Best Practice. Our interventions are respectful of the existing character and quality whilst also being distinct, contemporary and of a high quality.

Interior Design

Internal environments play a strong role in how we live, work and play within buildings. Creating character, bringing visual variety and ensuring comfort to internal environments and spaces is important. We bring added value to both the building and users through experience and bespoke approaches. In collaboration with our expert interior design advisors, we look at the bigger picture to create an environment that generates a positive effect on everyone who experiences it.

Consultation and Engagement

As place makers, our belief is that places are multi-generational. How we live, work, play and heal is as much for today’s communities as it is for the next generation. We work collaboratively with stakeholders, local authorities and communities, building a shared vision consensus for a place. Garnering a shared consensus brings added value but crucially, it unlocks full potentials and ensure viability for long term physical, economic and social regeneration.

We offer a wide range of consultation services including open days, exhibitions, workshops, focus groups, surveys, questionnaires and surveys utilising social media and other more traditional forms of communication to connect with all stakeholders. We also provide expertise and advice to our clients on all project aspects at all stages.

Research, Publications and Education

We provide research services related to the design, technical performance, construction and occupation of cities and towns, buildings, spaces and communities. We provide guidance publications and specialise in the development of innovative design and technical solutions for improving the performance and efficiency of the environment within which we live, work, play and heal within. Our diverse team of skilled consultants have the proven ability to deliver projects for a wide range of private and public sector industry clients.

Our team members also ‘give back’ and share our diverse knowledge with the next generation of designers by way of academia and studio-based teachings with third level institutions across Ireland.
