About This Project

A flagship project for Údarás na Gaeltachta, VHA Urban Design and Masterplanning, and Architectural team were commissioned to lead a multi-disciplinary team to prepare design proposals for the Fanad Head Lighthouse Visitor Experience Centre.

The brief was to create a viable, sustainable and long-term Centre that will provide for the needs of existing and future visitors to Chionn Fhánada/Fanad Head, as well the needs of the local community.

A comprehensive project process was undertaken by VHA. Since project inception, a comprehensive body of local engagement and stakeholder consultation has been led and undertaken by VHA. The project successfully secured full planning in 2023.
