Royal Canal Way, Dublin City

About This Project

The VHA Urban Design team was appointed to create a masterplan to accompany a large-scale mixed-use development planning application for lands in Broombridge, Dublin City.

The masterplan framework created a vision for the wider masterplan area and its phased development, setting out key design principles. Design principles focused on responding to the existing landscape and settlement context, creation of a compact, public transit oriented new community, creating an integrated green network with the Royal Canal and Tolka Valley park and ensuring permeability for all through defining appropriate development areas.
