About This Project

In collaboration with Sligo GAA, VHA designed a centre of excellence to provide the best facilities and conditions for all Sligo GAA teams and players. Set on a 23-acre site, the structure boasts three full-sized playing pitches, two of which are floodlit, four dressing rooms, a large gymnasium, medical rooms, county board offices, and meeting rooms.

The centre has been dubbed by County Boards and indeed Croke Park as ‘exemplar’ due to its exceptional design, attention to detail, functionality, and aesthetic qualities throughout.

VHA’s role included involvement in public consultations and liaising with relevant local authorities. VHA worked closely with the wider design team and all relevant stakeholders to ensure the client’s brief and technical requirements were met.
