About This Project

Sligo IT

The upgrade works for Sligo IT were carried out in two phases.

Phase 1 focused on comprehensive upgrades and enhancements across the campus. The scope of work included mechanical and electrical upgrades to improve the efficiency of lighting and heating systems. Classrooms were modernised, and the toolroom received a functional extension.

Additional improvements included the redecoration of interiors, refurbishment of toilets, and installation of online booths, enhancing both the aesthetics and utility of the spaces. External works encompassed the construction of bus lay-by shelters and new boundary railings, significantly enhancing the campus infrastructure and student accessibility.

Phase 2 saw the delivery of a high-quality design for Block K which provided a much improved teaching space and creative space for students. The project adheres to the client’s brief, integrating new design elements with the existing structure. Key highlights of the redesign include the creation of three new art studios and additional support offices and accommodations.

A focal point of the renovation is the new entrance, designed for aesthetic appeal and for enhanced functionality. It establishes a cohesive connection with Block L, harmonising with the broader campus masterplan.
