About This Project

Built to serve Athenry and its surrounding communities, this three-bay fire station and training tower was commissioned by Galway County Council to provide much-needed infrastructure and improve firefighting capabilities in the area. The fire station’s design features a mix of metal, stone cladding, and painted render, which were selected with the intention to create a visually appealing structure that blends with its surroundings. The project presented a unique challenge with the need to facilitate a new public sewer connection by Irish Water while construction was underway.
